A New Wall that Looks Old

You just can’t use a manufactured stone on a project like this.   This project is on Nicolette Island, where some of the first homes built in Minneapolis are located.  When the house was renovated we added a new wall in the front.  The challenge was to make it look as if it was built when the home was in the 1800’s.  We sourced salvaged limestone, field stone, cobbles, and even a few street brick to build this project.  Tre-hus builders designed and built the fence, it really becomes the show piece.  We took care to work around the flowering crab apple during construction, it makes an impressive statement.
